New NCAA rule allowing on field advertisements

From ESPN - "Starting this season, the NCAA will allow commercial sponsor advertisements on football fields for regular-season games in all three divisions, the organization announced Thursday.

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved the recommendation from the Football Rules Committee. The rule allows for corporate advertisements to be placed in three spots on the field: A single advertisement centered on the 50-yard line, along with no more than two smaller flanking advertisements elsewhere on the field. It can be done on a game-by-game basis or for the entire season."

I suspect logos on helmets and jerseys will be next. Got to find all kinds of new revenue streams with the House settlement and players cut.

I wasn't sure if NC State was going to offer Nick Reddish, not because of his talent, but after trying with his older brother Quentin Reddish and then backing off of him late at this time last year. Quentin Reddish was a solid safety prospect with great size, who became a Rivals.com four-star prospect and signed with Virginia Tech over Wake Forest, NC State and a brief flirtation with Miami (Fla.) late. The Wolfpack preferred Brody Barnhardt and Ronnie Royal more in the end.

So, we'll see if Nick Reddish has much interest in the Wolfpack coming up. Talented athlete, who can play multiple positions in the secondary, returned kicks and is a standout in baseball for Independence. Notre Dame, USC, Ole Miss, Tennessee, UNC, Duke, Louisville, Missouri, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech have all offered. His parents are from Durham, N.C.
