Former NC State football player Bill Cowher will be inducted into the Ring of Honor on Sept. 29.
Cowher played linebacker for the Wolfpack from 1975-78 under head coaches Lou Holtz and Bo Rein, and ranks seventh in school history in career tackles (371). He had 195 tackles in 1978, and played in the NFL from 1980-84 before becoming an elite head coach one day with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
