Fifth-year senior wing Ricky Council is someone I've seen grow up over the last five years, and he picked Providence today.
Council attended Northern Durham High his first four years, got offers from the likes of North Carolina-Wilmington and Appalachian State, among others, but gambled he could do better. He is doing a post-grad year at Hickory (N.C.) Moravian Prep, which I had not heard of until he arrived there. The extra year has paid off for him.
