NC State, North Carolina have interesting recruiting histories​

My annual look at what players were battled over between North Carolina and NC State.

If you were to look at NC State's roster, this would be the list of players who the Wolfpack beat out the Tar Heels toward the end of their recruitments:

Noah Rogers
Keenan Jackson
Kevin Concepcion
Kamen Smith
Anthony Carter
Jonathan Paylor

Some would argue about Rogers, but his brother is still on the UNC roster and I'm sure they tried some after he transferred from Ohio State. Jackson had the famous flip and officially visited both colleges. Concepcion was down to UNC and NC State. Smith visited both colleges and liked Virginia Tech. Carter didn't like recruiting but had both schools in the mix. Paylor probably unofficially visited both colleges nearly 8 times I'd bet, and officially visited both.

Tamarcus Cooley officially visited both, but UNC stopped recruiting him after his visit and then he picked NC State, only to flip to Maryland, so he's in a category all his own.
