Some fun moves in the NBA today, with small forward Klay Thompson going from the Golden State Warriors to the Dallas Mavericks.
The Celtics are up for sale and I'm guessing someone will buy them for at least $2 billion.
Terquavion Smith was let go by the Philadelphia 76ers and Utah Jazz are waiving Omer Yurtseven.
Other impactful moves:
Small forward Paul George is going from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers also brought back wing Kelly Oubre, while the Clippers got Derrick Jones from the Dallas Mavericks.
In turn, small forward Tobias Harris has left the 76ers for the Detroit Pistons.
Point guard Chris Paul has gone from the Warriors to San Antonio Spurs, which seems an odd move on the surface.
Center Jonas Valanciunas chased money over winning and signed with the Washington Wizards.
Shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope cashed in with the Orlando Magic, after helping Denver win a title two years ago.
The Thunder showed how healthy the league is financially where even their reserves cash in. Former High Point Wesleyan standout Aaron Wiggins cashed in with four years and $57 million from the OKC Thunder. Fellow reserve wing Isaiah Joe, who was out of the league at one point, got four years and $48 million.
The Thunder also brought in New York Knicks center Isaiah Hartenstein, who I think was nearly out of the league in his recent past. He got three years and $87 million.
The Mavericks signed Naji Marshall to three years and $27 million, and he was another one who was out of the league at one point.
Patrick Williams of West Charlotte High resigned with the Chicago Bulls for five years and $90 million, which is kind of crazy.
This was all done on the heels of the Knicks giving up draft capital for small forward Mikal Bridges.
The Hawks gave up on the Dejounte Murray and Trae Young backcourt, with Murray getting traded to the Pelicans. NC State legacy Dyson Daniels was part of that trade.
