ACC OT: Jon Scheyer not afraid to be cutthroat...

I've watched Duke's roster start off with 17 scholarship players, and it's now down to 11, meaning a very good nucleus could in theory get two impact transfers to join them. That's pretty cutthroat in the hoops world and coach Jon Scheyer isn't the type of personality I would have expected that from. Assuming Jeremy Roach returns, I have to to think best shooter on the wing and maybe a scoring center. It will be interesting to see what they can do.

Going Pro:
Kyle Filipowski and Jared McCain

Transferring:
Mark Mitchell, Jaden Schutt, Christian Reeves, Jaylen Blakes.

Ol Roy

A friend just sent me a post on X.
I cannot re post it. Looks like Huckleberry Roy was wearing his blue and sitting in the front row last night. On a cut to the basket by us and a made shot he was shaking his head NO in obvious disgust.

He has made it clear he hates us. Well , many of us dislike them too but a former coach should remain silent especially when a team from his conference comes out of no where and makes this run.

Maybe he thinks the worm is turning.
If it does he will surely be in a distressed mood.

Go Pack. I think the worm has turned and we have better days ahead.
Unite like hell and fight like hell.
Give SOMETHING to our 1 Pack NIL.That is very important.

Gilbreath was an interesting recruitment. He played tight end at his junior college in California and offensive line coach Garett Tujague recruited him, with the idea that he could be a tight end but also grow into being an offensive tackle since he was 6-5 and 270ish at the time. NC State was in the mix of 4-5 schools, but he visited LSU and that was that. He played 56 snaps in 13 games for the Tigers.

Milfort officially visited NC State last June, and whether it was academics, or fit or just liking other defensive lineman more, the recruitment faded after his visit. He looked hard at Pittsburgh, Kansas and UCF hard, but ultimately signed with UAB and redshirted. Now he's back on the market.

Noel played at prep powerhouse John Curtis Christian in New Orleans, La., and started off at Nicholls State. Noel transferred to Texas Southern and had 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks this past fall. NC State has offered him already.
