This one is fascinating for several reasons.

1. Not a peep about Duke recruiting him until word got out this morning. Most had Christian Reeves down to South Carolina and Minnesota, including Reeves saying that in interviews this past week.

2. Duke usually doesn't recruit project big men anymore. The last project post player was Jack White in the class of 2016, and for a center, Antonio Vrankovic in 2015.

NC State never recruited him but the reasons were valid. He has chronically been hurt. I got to see him right before his ninth grade year at CP3 Rising Stars Camp, and then he always seemed to get hurt, whether at Charlotte Providence Day (back injury) or Concord Cannon School (fractured foot). He has finally been able piece together multiple months of action at his third stop, Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy, where he plays with fellow Duke commit Caleb Foster, a junior guard from Harrisburg, N.C., who could enroll in January.
