Virginia landed Alabama sophomore forward Braxton Key, who could be the future replacement if DeAndre Hunter ends up going pro in a year.

He was known as Braxton Blackwell in high school and is originally from Nashville, Tenn., and finished up at Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy. NC State had offered him the first time around. He is related to Ralph Sampson, maybe second cousin.

Key had a strong freshman year, but injuries and perhaps the freshman newcomers ate away at his numbers this past winter. He fell from 12.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game to 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds sophomore year. He's a blender type, fills voids where the team needs him.

Center Francisco Caffaro is one of the first two players who attended the new NBA academies they set up overseas to sign with colleges. Caffaro went to the Australian Institute of Sport, but is from Argentina. Watching some video, he's probably about 6-10, 6-11 and he wants to dunk whenever he can. He'll be a developmental big.
