Miami has landed junior shooting guard Rashad Muhammad of San Jose State, who is the younger brother of Minnesota Timberwolves wing Shabazz Muhammad. Rashad Muhammad averaged 13.9 points per game and shot 36 percent from three-point range (he likes to let them fly), but only 38.1 percent from the field. The Las Vegas product will have to sit out this year and then have two years of eligibility remaining.
Miami and NC State are as aggressive about four-year transfers as anybody, and getting Muhammad is a result of the Wolfpack beating out the Hurricanes for Charlotte transfer Torin Dorn.
