The early feeling was Miami was going to take two transfers, but ended up with three, two of which could help next year.

Guard Zach Johnson averaged double figures all three years at Florida Gulf Coast. He'll be a graduate transfer, though he is testing the waters for the NBA Draft. He played high school basketball with Miami junior center Dewan Huell, who is also testing the waters. Johnson averaged 16.1 points and 3.0 assists per game and shot 39.2 percent on three-pointers.

Oklahoma wing Kameron McGusty will sit out a year and then have two years left. I liked him a lot coming out of Katy, Texas, and thought he'd do more at OU. Rivals.com ranked him No. 51 in the class of 2016. He averaged a healthy 10.9 points per game his freshman year, but fell to 8.0 points as a sophomore while taking a back seat to the Trae Young show.

The third transfer, small forward Anthony Mack, has a unique back story. He's from Las Vegas but went to Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J. He blew up the summer going into his senior year, but then apparently suffered a concussion playing football that fall. He signed with Wyoming and didn't play his senior year, and then was held out his freshman year. Apparently, he's OK now and the NCAA will have a tough decision on whether to give him a waiver to be eligible right away at Miami, or make him sit out a second straight season. His roommate at Blair Academy was Miami freshman Deng Gak.
