This one has a lot to unwrap, but sophomore point guard Dior Johnson is a quality prospect, who has made a very early commitment to Syracuse.

I got to see play up on Albany City Rocks 15s when he was in the eighth grade in Hampton, Va., once upon a time. Smooth and efficient point guard, thought he could be a Jalen Brunson type, who went to Villanova and is now with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Kingston, N.Y., native then made the move to Findley Prep in Henderson, Nev., but then that program got shut down this fall. He made the move to Mayfair High in Lakewood, Calif.

So New York native who heads out west, but still wants to go to college in his home state. Toss in a head coach at Syracuse who is 75 years old.
