Virginia went for a mostly-proven older quarterback and then a young one to groom long-term in theory. Danny Kaelin just finished his freshman year at Nebraska, and he's blocked for at least two more years by quarterback Dylan Raiola.
Virginia then landed veteran senior quarterback Chandler Morris, who threw for 3,774 yards, 31 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, plus four rushing scores for North Texas. The son of Chad Morris also played at Oklahoma and TCU.
