We've been watching to see what Baylor redshirt junior guard Allerik Freeman would do since we had heard he was on pace to graduate. He has decided to walk away from his starting spot at Baylor and transfer. He got off to a good start last year and then hit a wall in Big 12 play. Freeman was a standout at Charlotte Olympic High and finished up at Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep.
The other player to watch is Indiana redshirt junior point guard Josh Newkirk, who told me he's on pace to graduate this summer. He's from Raleigh and attended Southeast Raleigh High for two years and Raleigh Word of God for three years.
