Chicago Morgan Park junior point guard Ayo Dosunmu, who is ranked No. 30 in the class of 2018 by Rivals.com, was offered by NC State on Sunday.
I got to watch him go for 25 points at 8 a.m. this morning against Nike Phamily, which has Rivals.com's No. 1-ranked Marvin Bagley Jr., who had 26 points and 20 rebounds. Standing next to Dosunmu when I interviewed him Saturday, he's got great height at about 6-foot-3. Assistant coach James Johnson is the point man on him.
Dosunmu has seen a lot of midwest colleges and Illinois just hired assistant coach Chin Coleman, whose first priority is to land Dosunmu. So, this will be a tough challenge.
