Greensboro (N.C.) Day reclassed sophomore guard Camren Hayes jumped up 15 spots in the Rivals.com rankings to No. 16 overall in the country, and he is one slot away from being a likely five-star prospect. I believe Corey Evans of Rivals.com got to see one of his better games of the season against Concord (N.C.) Cox Mill on Dec. 22 in Charlotte.

Raleigh Leesville Road sophomore point guard Carter Whitt entered the rankings at No. 46. Evans got to see him play at the Holiday Invitational after Christmas at Raleigh Broughton High, plus past viewings on Boo Williams 17s traveling team.

Hayes is expected to attend the Virginia Tech at NC State game Saturday. It wouldn't be surprising if Whitt makes a return appearance again too.

NC State has also offered No. 2-ranked sophomore Terrence Clarke of Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy, and reportedly have offered No. 3-ranked Jonathan Kuminga. Both were original standouts at the CP3 Rising Stars Camp in Aug. 2017.

The Wolfpack have checked out Efton Reid, a 6-11 center from Richmond (Va.) The Steward School, who is ranked No. 42. His Team Loaded VA teammate Roosevelt Wheeler, who is ranked No. 49 and plays for John Marshall High in Richmond, has been offered by NC State.
