Clemson Game: ball bouncing out of bounds on inbound

I thought several calls were completely botched in the last few minutes, including the inbounds calls. Can anyone clarify the rule.

My understanding: after a made basket, an inbounding player can do just about anything, including a bounce on the out of bounds side of the court. This is NOT a violation.

Am I correct? Does that also apply to inbounds not after a made basket?
