Looks like Jerry Palm and Joe Lunardi both currently have us as an 8 seed, a few spots shy of "the bubble." With that though comes the mystery of seeding in regard to the NET. These guys are ultimately guessing on how the committee will weigh the NET, KenPom, which both have us ranked 29/32 (squarely in the 8 spot).
Clemson (11-8), lost 5 of last 6 games
Notre Dame (11-10), lost 7 of last 8 games
Miami (9-10), lost 6 of last 7 games
Pitt (12-8), lost 6 of last 8 games
Vanderbilt (9-10), lost last 7 games
Penn State (7-13), lost last 7 games
Auburn (13-6), lost 4 of last 6 games
With Auburn being our only quality win, it's my thinking that we need to at least win a couple games against the "middle tier" ACC teams because it's more likely we drop another game to a team we shouldn't (@Boston College), than it is to win @Duke, @UNC or UVA.
Win two of these and I think we stay clear of the bubble...
Virginia Tech
Syracuse
@Florida State
@Pittsburgh
