Notes & Numbers: Parham became a part-time varsity starter as a sophomore and directed Southeast to a state 4-A playoff berth. ... Became the full-time starter as a junior when he completed 149 of 296 passes for 1,773 yards and 15 touchdowns. ... Parham also rushed 75 times for 394 yards and seven scores. ... The performance earned him All-Greater Neuse 4-A Conference first-team honors. ... His father is an N.C. State graduate and his mother is a UNC alum.

Recruiting trail: Parham made a verbal commitment to N.C. State on 11/18/2014 over an offer from Old Dominion.

Sammy's take: Physically, Parham resembles former N.C. State quarterback Mike Glennon. He has a long, thin, gangly frame that will require some beefing up before he’s ready for the college game. But Parham is far more mobile than Glennon. He does throw with a half-sidearm delivery that may need smoothing out. But hey, Philip Rivers had a weird throwing motion, too, and things worked out well for him."
