"Roseboro made multiple tackles in the game, but it was a play he didn't make in the first half that was an example of why N.C. State was so excited to land him over big-time suitors such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame and dozens of others.
Lined up on the left side, Roseboro came off the line so quickly the offensive tackle could barely get a hand on him. He then ran down athletic redshirt freshman quarterback Jalan McClendon, forcing him to throw the ball away.
"As spring has gone on, you started to see his God-given ability,'' N.C. State coach Dave Doeren said after the scrimmage. "For a big man, he is very quick. I'm not going to say he's further along than any other (freshmen) I've coach, but he is a very mature freshman.''
Roseboro ended spring practice second on the depth chart at one of two end positions behind senior and returning starter Mike Rose. If he maintains that position through fall camp, it'll mean plenty of playing time for Roseboro in 2015.
"It's big for me being in that starting rotation,'' Roseboro said. "I think that's really big for a freshman.
"But that's why I graduated (from high school) early. Sometimes when I'm lifting I start thinking, 'I'm supposed to be in high school right now.' But then I realize coming in early has is helping me get better. It's helped me get a big jump.''
