While we were all sweating out another close win at PNC last night, UNC was on its way to another close loss. This one at GT.
I was so ecstatic to see us pull out another win that I didn’t even think to check in on this game.
Needless to say, Heels fans are in full on melt down mode. This year’s shaky start on top of last year’s debacle of a season have many fans openly suggesting, the game has passed Roy by and he needs to retire.
I saw more than a few comparisons to Bobby Bowden holding on too long and tarnishing his legacy. Others bemoaned the thought that Roy is taking UNC down the path of Indiana and UCLA - to has been status.
It’s a hoot on their boards if you have some time and would enjoy some New Year’s Eve entertainment. Duke Basketball Report had a story up this morning summarizing yeterday’s games in the ACC. They included this gem: “Rare fun for State fans: the Wolfies are tied for first place while UNC is tied for last.” Seriously, when is the last time that factoid was a thing? Hope its holds up into 2021.
