The Phenon Hoops Report team camp had a good string of games Saturday at the Rise Indoor Sports in Bermuda Run, N.C.
The main targets to watch were a pair of games of Salisbury (N.C.) High junior wing Jayden “Juke” Harris, Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley sophomore wing Zacch Wiggins and junior wide receiver target Alex Taylor, who plays point guard, and Reidsville (N.C.) High freshman power forward Kendre’ Harrison.
Harris will be arriving at NC State for his first unofficial visit Tuesday, and he’s been a fast riser this spring. Harris has earned offers from Tennessee, Houston, South Florida, Virginia Commonwealth, High Point, Ohio, Siena, College of Charleston and North Carolina A&T in the last week and a half.
Harris has an obvious connection to NC State. His mom attended school there. I’m not sure if she finished with the Wolfpack, but Harris said she was there in 1996.
Salisbury played a scrappy Greensboro Smith squad, who lost its best player to a transfer to rival Greensboro Dudley. Harris was smooth, efficient and showed his upside in finishing with 30 points. He got a couple of buckets in the last 30 seconds in the open court, and he also banked in a 3-pointer, but the rest were well earned.
Talking to Harris after the game, he was 6-2 a year ago and now he’s probably about 6-5. He’s skinny at 170 pounds and a college strength and conditioning program will do him wonders one day.
What Harris does without question is have the ball go off his hand in pretty fashion. He should be a good college shooter.
Harris and Salisbury played High Point (N.C.) Southwest Guilford High iny the second game. I don’t think I’ve seen the Cowboys play since they had future UNCG twin guards Kobe Langley and Keyshaun Langley.
Harris got poked in the eye area early and the game lacked rhythm. He didn’t get as many looks outside and didn’t get the whistle on the drives. He ended up with 12 points and probably made at least six free throws. My guess that is Harris at the low end of his development curve.

Taylor happens to be pretty good at point guard. If he wasn’t a top 200 wide receiver, he’d be a legit Division I hoops prospect. He just got offered by Clemson, and he unofficially visited NC State and North Carolina.
Sophomore wing Zacch Wiggins is the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder wing Aaron Wiggins. NC State tried to get Aaron Wiggins out of High Point Wesleyan right after coach Kevin Keatts was hired.
Zacch is different than his brother in that he’s a high-flyer at about 6-4 and can get downhill to the rim. I could see NC State eventually offering him, especially if he develops a consistent three-point shot. His recruitment hasn’t taken off yet, but coaches will like watching him with CP3 15s in July.

Harrison has been a project of mine after watching him go for 19 points and 14 rebounds in the Josh Level Classic Rising Stars Game. Since then, I’ve learned he’s the nephew of former NC State wing C.C. Harrison, who played for the Wolfpack from 1994-98.
Kendre’ Harrison is legit at 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, and not just in hoops. Wake Forest just offered him today in football and he projects at tight end. He had 14 points and at least five blocks against Concord (N.C.) High today, and will make a terrific combination with freshman point guard Dionte Neal, who is exciting but will need to a few inches at maybe 5-8.

Unrelated to the event, but junior guard Jahseem Felton will be unofficially visiting NC State on Monday. He’s ranked No. 54 overall in the country in the class of 2024 and had a good end to the year at Gaston Christian in Gastonia, N.C. Felton has since transferred to Southern California Academy in Santa Clarita, Calif.
