Fayetteville (N.C.) Northwood Temple Academy senior center Immanuel Bates came to team camp this past Friday, and was offered by NC State. The three-star project big is a really good shot-blocker, who originally attended Fayetteville Jack Britt his first two years. NC State had him come to to a game his sophomore year, and the new staff got him to come back about a month ago. With NCSU concerned about possibly needing three or four big men in the class of 2018, that's going to be a heavy emphasis this July.
Bates is averaging 8.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game, and shooting 62 percent from the field, but only 25 percent from the line (3 of 12) in 12 games with Team Felton.
Under Armour has him measured at 6-9 with a 7-1.25 wingspan and standing reach of 8-11, with a 22-inch vertical jump.
