I just played golf with my cousin who will be the new strength and conditioning coach a week from Monday. Coach talks to Patrick 2-3 x a week. Cosch telling him " I need you up here fast" Many stories, but I can say Coach K loves it and was highly impressed so far. He mentioned that he didn't realize the $ that. Is put into our programs even mentioning that, "they have Louisville and Kentucky money " which he didn't realize This was a compliment to the support we have. Funny story when negotiations started, after Archie said no Keats was approached and when State offered, they offered $1.2M for 4 years, Coach got up and was waking out ended up of course with 2.2 and 6 years. Also in regard to the players he told them all, " I am not going to look at film, stats sheet, recruiting stars, etc, you have 1 month to show me what you got. Nothing is given here and it will be a clean slate. Apparently some chose other choices. Patrick said he did the same thing at UNCW when he arrived. There are other things that are going on that I can't say as is it's too long to post or he told me not to, but I will keep updates and funny stories along the way if anyone in interested. IMHO I really feel we are in the right path with these guys. They know there is ALOT of work to be done, but they are not afraid to turn this around.
