I was wondering what do people think....is a win tonight a program changer or at the very least does it raise the profile of the Pack nationally?

The Pack hasn't made it past the Sweet 16 in what almost 20 years. If they win tonight then schools like Duke and UNC can't say why go to NC State they aren't a legit threat in the NCAA tourney since they can't make it past the Sweet 16 ever. Look at us we have a rich history of going deep in the tourney whereas NC State doesn't.

However, if they win Gott could sell that the Pack has made the Tourney 4 straight years with a Sweet 16 appearance and a Great 8 appearence in that time. He can say we made it further than UNC. That the program is truely on the upswing and headed in the right direction.

What does everyone else think?
