To walk down memory lane, wing JaDun Michael of The Burlington School was in the class of 2021 and NC State was ahead of the curve in offering him, along with Louisville. There were rumors he'd reclass to 2020, but he shot them down because he actually is normal aged for his grade.
Then Wichita State swooped in and got him to visit and commit, then move to 2020 and sign, just like that. It was a coup of a move for the Shockers, but didn't seem to make total sense for Michael.
Now, he must have asked out of his letter of intent from them. What's interesting is Team Felton used to have both Michael and new Wichita State commit Ricky Council IV of Durham.
So the next part of this that needs to be sorted out ... will Michael stay in 2020 and sign with someone or go back to 2021 and take his time. NC State was able to see him against Moravian Prep this season, and then at John Wall Holiday Invitational. He's the type of player who's solid across the board, but maybe doesn't have that one thing yet, so maybe it could be defense.
