Garner (N.C.) High freshman power forward Asa White, who is a slender 6-foot-7, had a big rep in middle school and I'm pretty sure he was behind NC State's bench last year as a recruit. Somewhere along the way, the hype has died down a bit, but saw White and Garner take on Kinston (N.C.) High last Saturday, and came away intrigued. He'll need to put on weight and if he grows another two inches, it's easy to project him as a high major prospect one day.
