With the high school season in full swing and Flo updating their 2020 big board, I thought it'd be a good time to provide some updates:
As of early September, NC State was deemed to have the nation's No. 8 2020 recruiting class by Flo with Nos. 10, 43, 61, 153, 182 and 189 on the big board. They later added No. 59 … but team rankings were not updated.
Today, Flo cut the big board from 250 to 100. The good news is NC State shakes out with four top-100 prospects in the update:
No. 14 Ryan Jack (currently No. 4 at his HS weight)
No. 21 Ed Scott (No. 5)
No. 54 Isaac Trumble
No. 92 AJ Kovas (No. 20)
Jack moved down slightly (from No. 10), Scott went from No. 43 overall to No. 21, Trumble went from No. 59 to 54 and Kovas fell from No. 61 to 92.
By my quick count, NC State is one of just five schools with multiple top-21 pledges — OK State leads the way with three, then Missouri, Penn State, Cornell and NCSU each have two apiece.
In terms of top 100 overall, OK State and Cornell have six; Missouri and Virginia Tech five; NC State, Iowa and Nebraska four.
