Men's Basketball NC State's Jack Clark has officially entered the portal...

What are these players being told? Last I checked, we don't have any better players. They worried about playing time? Who else will play in place of Clark? Can we afford to lose a big man like Eve, really?

What portal season is for. Swapping one group of players for a different group of players who the coaches expect to be better.

I’m confident this staff can find a forward that shoots 29% from 3. Here’s the bottom
Line for me as I see it: Clark and Morsell should be 6 and 7 guys. Good players, but not starters. I like what the staff is doing. We need more “dudes” if this is ever gonna work for Keatts.

Silly take with morsell. Very solid ACC player

At some schools, yes, especially with coaches needing to hang on. I am very much sensing that.

Then you have a Tom Izzo, and he’s planning out Michigan State over next 2-3 years because he has a lifetime contract basically.
Tom Izzo is a modern day Bum Phillips from the old Houston Oilers. I dont care what he has, every year he is there.

He can take his'n and beat yours or he can take yours and beat his'n. Dude Could coach.

Can imagine what that guy could have done with elite talent? Like maybe the Raiders after Madden

Have pretty much thrown in the towel with professional sports. Beginning to think the same approach is needed for college athletics. College athletics are evolving into something that is very ugly.

Izzo is definitely an all-timer. He could have had Kentucky at one point everyone thought, but he is a MSU lifer. I do know there was a stretch it got frustrating for him to finish second to a blue blood (mostly Duke) in some big recruiting values over midwest kids. But then he probably adjusted and got players he knew he could get. He rarely if ever ran a player off, which is going to be an antiquated notion for some in the future.
