Thought this was a really interesting story from CBS Sports. They ranked college football coaches by records and winning percentage in one-score games.
Dave Doeren did not have enough for their national rankings (minimum of 25 such games), but he would have ranked fifth based on winning percentage by my count — behind Florida's Jim McElwain (13-4, .765), USC's Clay Helton (3-1, .750), ODU's Bobby Wilder (20-7, .741) and Ohio State's Urban Meyer (34-13, .723). Doeren is 13-5 (.722) in his career in one-score games and 4-2 (.667) at NCSU for the best such percentage in the ACC.
