UNC Asheville went 23-9 overall and 15-3 in the Big South, but that won’t mean anything after what sophomore guard Chris Clemons did Thursday.

The 5-foot-7 dynamo (listed at 5-9), who is averaging 23.2 points per game, erupted for 51 points and eight three-pointers to lead Campbell to a stunning 81-79 upset in the quarterfinals of the Big South Tournament.

What is even more crazy, the former Raleigh Millbrook standout (family are big Wolfpack fans too), missed the second meeting against UNCA and he went 4 of 15 for 10 points in the first meeting, a 72-56 loss.
