A lot of folks have put up what this year’s playoffs would look like with the 12-team format, but here’s what it would look like with the realigned conferences. Obviously these teams would have played different schedules, but using the final rankings and the realigned conferences, here’s what it would look like.

Top six ranked conference champions (top four get first round byes):

1 Texas (SEC Champion) #1 seed
2 Michigan (Big Ten Champion) #2 seed
3 Florida State (ACC Champion) #3 seed
4 Arizona (Big 12 Champion) #4 seed
5 Liberty (Conference USA Champion) #11 seed
6 Tulane (American Athletic Champion) #12 seed

Six at-large teams:

#5 seed Washington
#6 seed Alabama
#7 seed Georgia
#8 seed Ohio State
#9 seed Oregon
#10 seed Missouri

First round games:

#12 Tulane at #5 Washington
#11 Liberty at #6 Alabama
#10 Missouri at #7 Georgia
#9 Oregon at #8 Ohio State

Quarterfinals:

Tulane/Washington winner vs Arizona
Liberty/Alabama winner vs Florida State
Missouri/Georgia winner vs Michigan
Oregon/Ohio State winner vs Texas
