Charlotte Hornets star Miles Bridges was arrested for domestic assault. I had just seen Bridges and his wife Mychelle Johnson and her mom at a game Feb. 6 in Charlotte, N.C. They were there to watch Maki Johnson of Huntington (W.Va.) Prep, who NC State has reached out to a little bit in the class of 2023. Johnson is the younger brother or half-brother of Bridges' wife.
Basically, Bridges went to Huntington Prep and met his future wife in 2016, who attended St. Joseph Catholic in Huntington. Huntington Prep players attend St. Joseph for classes. Johnson also played basketball and signed with Middle Tennessee State, and then transferred home to Marshall to play ball.
Subplot to all this, Johnson's older sister played at Notre Dame and while Andrew Wiggins attended Huntington Prep, they fell in love and are still together.
