Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook signed a five-year, $205 million contract extension, which also includes a player option that could stretch it to six years and $233. Coincidentally, he signed it on Kevin Durant's birthday today.
Westbrook's agent, Thad Foucher of Wasserman Media Group, is the former coach of then adidas-sponsored New Orleans Jazz traveling team which featured Maurice Williams (Alabama and Mark Gottfried), Chris Duhon (Duke) and Jonathan Bender (preps to pros). Some of the best agents at procuring talent have been former traveling team coaches. Foucher also reps Anthony Davis, so life is good.
