Raleigh Word of God senior power forward Brandon Gardner picked St. John's on Sunday. Also rumors he might get placed at a high school in NYC like Christ the King. Gardner was offered by NC State, probably about this time last year, but it never seemed to get much traction. He's originally from Georgia, and then went to high school his first two years in South Carolina.
I had terrible luck this year where I went to see him the first time, he got a foul and technical foul and was on the bench most of the game. Another game at John Wall Holiday Invitational, he got hurt early in the game. In a third game in Greensboro, he was suspended. At the Josh Level Classic, he was there but didn't play. So yeah, not much eval time on him other than if I see him on Synergy or this summer with Boo Williams. He is a freaky athlete at a skinny 6-7 and he is a gifted shot-blocker.
