Breaking down this season's BPI projections and why Gonzaga is not the favorite
Gonzaga has impressed early in the 2020-21 season, but BPI still favors four teams ahead of the Zags, including Villanova, to take home the NCAA tournament title.
Lots of love for the Wolfpack. Duke and UVA are top 10 and Syracuse is slotted just above us at #14. Behind us is UNC at #18. According to the BPI we have a better chance at making the tournament and winning the ACC than UNC.
VT is also rated pretty high at #29.
Future opponent UCONN is ranked #35 and Michigan slots in at #23.
