Point guard Eli Ellis isn't the typical freshman
We've talked about Eli Ellis in The Run Down and the message boards, and the timing seemed right to get to know him better this past Friday. After covering the recruitments of guys like Tyler Lewis, Ryan Harrow and Carter Whitt, among others, this one just seems to have more juice involved. Eli and his younger brother Isaac, really have a true following already on social media. They seem built for the NIL era.
The video guys can't get enough of Eli Ellis, and this isn't because of a flashy recruitment or recruiting gurus have him ranked high. I've seen that go both ways for players that age where Damon Harge was a darling for a hot minute, and then wasn't, or Tyger Campbell was a star, dropped a little bit, and now has proven to be a very good point guard at UCLA. I know some will link him to Lewis and Whitt, but he does have some of that Campbell moxie.
Either way, should be an entertaining next few years on the Ellis ride.
