I think it was good that we let Gottfried go. His lack of junior or senior leadership caught up with him, IMO.
My question is why now? It is to our advantage to pull the trigger now rather than at the end of the season?
Also, would it be unethical to contact some of these coaches, ie Archie, while they are in the midst of their seasons?
Is there any precedent for a coach, like Archie, to accept the position before the end of his season?
I seem to remember that Dorren accepted the State job before their bowl game.
