So I took my twins to Raleigh this weekend, and we had a blast. (The 14 year old was with his dad, and my wife stayed home for a crossfit competition.) We enjoyed a nice dinner at Backyard Bistro and that great senior night blowout of the Deacs.
Spent the night at Aloft and walked over to Dail Field to watch the first game of Pack softball taking down the Irish. While we were sitting behind the most obnoxious Notre Dame fan ever, the Dail ROCKS! I highly recommend taking in a game. You are right on top of the action, and the action is nonstop!
After the game I showed them some of my old haunts (Owen Dorm, the Beach, the Free Expression Tunnel, the Brickyard), and they wanted to check out the gymnastics dual against Minnesota. The Golden Gophers are ranked #11 and beat the Pack by 0.85 points. But my boys, one in particular, were really into the match. It was quite enjoyable. And we made it on the Dance Cam! (Fat white guys are irresistible)
Finished off the evening with a fierce game of tag in the courtyard in front of Tompkins Hall and tacos at Gonzas.
All five of us will be back next Saturday for Pack9 vs BC.
