Pittsburgh Post-Gazette put together a chart of coaches that were at the same college for 10-plus years since 1985, and how the successor faired. The result is that 31 times a school has had to replace a coach who has been there for 10-plus years, with Jim Valvano and Les Robinson part of the chart at NC State.
