Manhattan, N.Y., senior center Taurean Thompson got offered by NC State and Pittsburgh. He'll be the winner of the supply and demand game for programs looking for bigs this spring. The perception is Syracuse is the leader but I mentioned last week he is wide open per a trusted source. Providence and Seton Hall were in the mix this fall.
He played with the Playaz Basketball Club and got looked at during the spring by the Wolfpack. He broke out at Pangos Camp in early June and that is when he went from unranked to ranked. He then missed parts or all of July with an injury. I have video ready in a bit that shows what he can do (he is strong) and what needs work (a little awkward).
