Once we do that, everything will take care of itself,” Brissett said. “I feel like we need to be a more consistent team, know who we are and be who we are no matter who we are playing or what the circumstances are.“I feel like in hard times, I have to step up and be able to calm the storm a lot better.”Brissett will have some of his key offensive weapons back – Matt Dayes, Shadrach Thornton and New Bern native Bra’lon Cherry.“I can’t wait to see (Cherry) play. He is a guy you are lucky to have on your team,” Brissett said. “He is tough. He was beat up a lot last year and still fought through a lot of things, but I am lucky to have him on my side.”
