Junior college transfer Derek Funderburk had two options, sign with NC State or wait until the spring to see what other colleges would jump in. He liked the Wolfpack coaching staff, his official visit and friendships with Braxton Beverly and Markell Johnson, to pull the trigger Tuesday and sign.
