Wake Forest (N.C.) High junior running back Devon Lawrence finally achieved something his older brother Dexter didn't do, win a NCHSAA 4AA state title. Of course, Dexter then wins a national title a few weeks later.
Lawrence is planning an unofficial visit to NC State coming up, perhaps as soon as Jan. 21. Like many younger brothers, he bristles at comparisons to Dexter or assumptions about his recruitment. He has shown he's a good every-down back the last two years after breaking out of Bryce Love's running back shadow at Wake Forest.
