NC State coach Mark Gottfried fully understands the challenges of playing that next game after topping Duke or North Carolina. He even had the team bus ride and celebration altered after topping Duke on Monday based on what he went through in defeating North Carolina at the Dean Dome in 2015.
Thursday was the first practice since the victory over the Blue Devils, and first part of it was "sluggish" but then things picked up. Hardest part of the week is all the people telling the players how great they are. A coaching staff can only combat that so much.
