Raleigh Word of God junior point guard Jalen Harris is starting to put it together with his jumper, ballhandling skills and he'll surprise with his leaping ability (the video below the story is pretty good). I am predicting a jump in his recruitment after the two weekend evaluation periods in April. NC State has been keeping tabs on him since last year, and he attended the Virginia Tech at NCSU game Feb. 24.
Obviously, NC State has to figure out what will happen with Fayetteville (N.C.) Trinity junior point guard Dennis Smith Jr., who is friends with Harris, but Smith is a likely one-and-done type, so taking two point guards that class makes a lot of sense. Even if Anthony Barber is still around, he'd be a senior when Smith and Harris arrive, so for the 2017-2018 season, both Smith and Barber could be gone (Barber for sure).
