Brooklyn, N.Y., native Rawle Alkins, who Rivals.com has ranked No. 9 in the class of 2016, took a little time away to talk about his move to Raleigh (N.C.) Word of God. He unofficially visited St. John's while still being back home. Alkins did tell me bluntly that NC State has serious ground to make up between now and when he wants to sign in April, but now that he's in Raleigh, that could happen. But it's pretty clear that if he had picked a high school in another state, the odds are good that one of the other 10 schools he's listing would likely have landed him.
