I had a long conversation this week with a former player (that played for DD) that sheds a lot of light on our current plight. I asked him what he thought was wrong with our offense? He said “Dave doesn’t recruit well, he got lucky with our group. Also, the kids aren’t as dedicated, to many distractions and bs”. To that I responded, is it time for us to get a new coach? To that he responded, “long overdue, you see where college football is headed, need new energy. Dave has always been flat and awkward. Great guy though for sure”. Before anyone says this player didn’t like Dave or didn’t get much playing time etc, stop. This guy was a starter and actually played in the league. He loves Nc state and Dave. I just thought his perspective was very enlightening.
