For the past 30 + years NCSU has set a low bar for coaches and expectations in bb and fb. No championships, no major wins to speak of and now the bb program mired in last place in the ACC, unacceptable. Apathy is the word I would use to describe the administration, athletic dept. and anyone else associated with NC State athletics. Mediocrity has been accepted and passed on to a lot of the fan base. When the powers that be accept what is the absurdity of low expectations you get what you have seen for the past 3 decades +. At one time I was a WPC member and season ticket holder. Of all the years I have been a fan and supporter I never expected a major institution such as NCSU to become so complacent in its 2 major revenue producing sports. It seems like the University has embraced underachievement as its standard when it comes to bb and fb. Who is to blame for hiring coaches that don't compete for championships and haven't for a long time? There are people that remind me of how good some of the non revenue producing sports are. This is great but without bb and fb I would have little interest.
