2. NC State football recruiting hasn’t had to worry too much about Georgia coming into North Carolina and taking players away.

Georgia has landed 10 players from the state of North Carolina since the class of 2012. The flexing by the Bulldogs came when they snagged both running backs Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall in 2012, and then nose tackles Jordan Davis and running back Zamir White in 2018.

The one potential battle in the class of 2023 is Havelock (N.C.) High junior tight end Javonte Vereen, who NC State and Georgia both offered early. However, a twist has occurred since UGA offered Vereen.

Georgia didn’t seem to have a jumbo athlete playing tight end on Monday night, but 6-4, 230-pound freshman Brock Bowers was an elite tight end with 56 catches for 882 yards and 13 touchdowns. Then Georgia landed a second tight end Wednesday in the class of 2023, Lawson Luckie of Norcross (Ga.) High, so the Bulldogs could be done with that position. Junior tight end Pearce Spurlin of Santa Rosa Beach (Fla.) South Walton High had committed Sept. 30.

Here is a look at the 10 players that Georgia has landed from North Carolina:

Class of 2022:
Jalen Walker, OLB, Salisbury (N.C.) High: 4-star prospect and No. 79 in country

Class of 2021:
Jared Wilson, Guard, Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth: 3-star prospect

Not on the two-deep yet.

Class of 2018:
Jordan Davis, Nose Tackle, Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek: 4-star prospect
Zamir White, Running Back, Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County: 5-star and No. 10 in country

Davis won the 2021 Outland Trophy, and the NFL Draft prospect has 90 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks in 41 games. White has overcome knee injuries to rush for 382 times for 2,043 yard and 25 touchdowns in 37 career games.

Class of 2016:
Marshall Long, Kicker, China Grove (N.C.) South Rowan: 2-star prospect

Long had 49 punts for an average of 38.7 yards in 2016.

Class of 2014:
Lamont Gaillard, Lineman, Fayetteville (N.C.) Pine Forest: 3-star prospect
Jeb Blazevich, Tight End, Charlotte (N.C.) Christian: 4-star prospect and No. 79 in country

Class of 2013:

Todd Gurley, Running Back, Tarboro (N.C.) High: 4-star prospect and No. 42 in country
