Thornton ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and Dayes had 104 yards and three scores on only eight attempts, as the Wolfpack (4-0) raced out to a 42-10 halftime lead and cruised to the win.
"It was like playing with deer in the headlights. Guys act like they ain't seen a football before," South Alabama safety Roman Buchanan said, visibly disgusted. "It's on us. It wasn't even competitive.
"They were a good team, but they were just taking advantage of mistakes we were making, which was a ton of them."
